LSMAG held its first meeting on September 1, 2001. LSMAG is a closed, 1-hour, non-smoking meeting for alcoholic men using a general discussion format. The acceptance theme for the meeting is from reading a portion of an alcoholic's story on acceptance found on pages 416-417 of the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous.
The meeting room is in the 3rd portable at the back of the church.
Fellowship usually continues after the meeting at breakfast at a local golf course restaurant .
Our business meeting is held the Saturday following the 2nd Tuesday (GSR Bus. Mtg.) of each month, following the regular meeting (approx~9:15 am).
The group has a monthly service commitment (with the Timberlane Group) to answer Greater Seattle Intergroup phones the second Friday of every month. The Intergroup phones are diverted to a member's home from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. This is a great time for fellowship and the chance to help another alcoholic. On February 6th, 2006 our group started a second 1-hour meeting on Mondays. The meeting is called Acceptance At Noon and it differs only in that it is an open meeting - for more info see the Acceptance at Noon page.
